FAQs

An unplanned pregnancy fills you with questions and concerns. Here are some of our frequently asked questions. Please contact us if you don't see your question here.

The first step is to meet with an adoption specialist who can walk with you through the process and help you make choices that reflect your hopes for your child.

At New Life Adoptions, you’re in control of selecting a family. Every adoptive family is thoroughly screened, background-checked, and home-studied to ensure they can provide a safe, stable, and loving environment. You can view profiles, ask questions, and even meet the family if you want.

You also get to decide how open the relationship is—whether you’d like updates, pictures, or ongoing visits. We’re here to support you in creating a plan that brings you peace, knowing your child is loved, valued, and thriving.

You’re not just giving your child a family—you’re choosing the right family. And we’re here to help you every step of the way.

Yes, absolutely. At New Life Adoptions, you have the option to create an open or semi-open adoption plan—you decide how much contact you’d like.

The first step is to meet with an adoption specialist who will help you create a plan that reflects your comfort level and wishes. If you’d like updates, you can choose to receive photos, letters, emails, or even schedule visits.

These details are agreed upon ahead of time and honored by both you and the adoptive family.

We work with families who are committed to ongoing connection, if that’s what you want. And if your feelings about updates change over time, we’re here to help navigate those conversations too.

Your voice matters—and your ongoing peace of mind is important to us.

You’ll receive emotional support, practical resources, and a safe space to explore all your options—without pressure. We’re here to listen, guide, and care for you, whether or not you choose adoption.

If you choose to move forward with adoption, New Life Adoptions can help with pregnancy-related expenses such as medical bills, transportation, maternity clothes, groceries, housing support, and more, so you don’t have to walk this path alone.

The process moves at your pace. Some women make a plan quickly, while others take more time. There’s no rush. Whether you’re early in your pregnancy or have already delivered, we’ll meet you where you are and help you take the next step when you’re ready.

The birth father’s presence is not mandatory. If the expectant mother chooses to disclose information regarding the birth father and would like us to contact him, we will work with him. If the expectant mother and birth father are married, state laws require that we contact him.

The birth father who opposes the adoption has the right to hire an attorney and contest the adoption. It is our desire to work with known birth fathers who want to be a part of the adoption. If a birth father chooses to sign the legal document, he can receive letters and pictures from the adoptive family, just as the birth mother will.

No. All services offered are free to the expectant mother.
